Lost Dinosaur
After falling
And picking myself up
It was not persistence of the will
Or a soul's clenched fist
Teeth ground deeper than the marrow
No
Not
None of these
It was the absence of the memory of the lost dinosaur
To not remember that I once couldn't forget
Christmas Poem
His cooney wrath did petrify
And all the nubblies gnarled
From window panes he came and went
At little girls he snarled
And oh what Christmas times
Whence yeomen rest their trubs
That is when he snatches them
And leaves flip-dazzled stubs
But lo! A creature larger still
From times before the hand
Comes at Christmas to rescue all
What are too stiff to stand
A thunderous lizard, a gentle brut
Who knows no name or kind
Watch the girls and family’s blaps
For now ‘til Christmas time.
Poem 2
Too often I've stood on shallow banks
Lines cast, dinosaurs crossed
And crossed again
Far too often I've stood on these banks
Poem 1
Trip along the mortal coil.
Perchance you find a dinosaur.
Wilt thou sell its golden eggs?
Perhaps a gilded omelette in its stead.
"Haiku" 1
Love is never-ending
I walk among the living
With pockets heavy with stones
"Haiku" 2
After the bombs stop
I will be the one who stands
The fires will hold me up
